THE 2022 POLAR PLUNGE IS DONE!
We’d like to congratulate our very own Dana Klock in being such a key personal fundraiser for this event! Presented by North 60 Petro, the Polar Plunge challenges people to bravely jump into an icy bin filled with water from the mighty Yukon river. All the fun takes place in the parking lot of the Best Western Gold Rush Inn. It’s a great way for everyone—individuals, organizations and businesses—to get involved in support of Special Olympics and show winter who’s boss!

Since joining us in 2005, Alanna Dene has participated in just about every sport that Special Olympics Yukon offers, including Bocce, Golf, Cross Country Skiing, Swimming, Bowling, Athletics and more. She’s even tried other sports like Floor Hockey and Powerlifting at SOY Development Games in communities like Haines Junction and Carmacks.
